The Friends of Leckhampton Hill and Charlton Kings Common (FOLK) is a volunteer group that looks after the interests of the Leckhampton Hill conservation area.
We help to keep the paths open and the grass areas clear, improving the quality of the environment for all wildlife on the hill.
Leckhampton Hill is a designated Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) which is home to many rare and valued butterflies, birds, animals, insects, reptiles, archaeology, geology and beautiful wildflowers particularly orchids.
It is also a great recreational area for the citizens of Cheltenham with tremendous views of Gloucestershire which needs to be maintained for the good of us all.
We work closely with Cheltenham Borough, Cotswold Wardens, Natural England, Cotswold AONB, Parish Councils and other respected organisations in order to preserve our valuable grassy slopes which are so rare nowadays.
Do come and see the FOLK website at www.leckhamptonhill.org.uk or our Facebook page , just search for leckhamptonhill on the internet.
We need your help so we can pay for our tools , materials and engage in additional project work on the hill.
