Success story - Cheltenham Animal Shelter
17 June 2022
Cheltenham Animal Shelter was able to create a new rabbit bonding facility using money raised from the #CheltenhamLottery and additional funding.
The facility is crucial for rabbit welfare as rabbits are social animals, but they need bonding before they can live together.
Alison Jarvis, Head of Fundraising at Cheltenham Animal Shelter said: “We have used the funds from the Cheltenham Lottery plus those from an appeal to our supporters to create a new rabbit bonding pen, update their facilities and create a dry storage area for rabbit bedding and food. Rabbits are social animals, but need bonding before they can live together so this facility is key to our rabbit welfare. We wouldn't have been able to do all of this without the contribution of funds from the Cheltenham Lottery.”
